Last week we went to the Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, NY. It was a moving experience to be near the animals, to watch them up close, and in several instances, to touch them and give them love and attention.
Sue nuzzled some gentle cows and petted some enthusiastic pigs, Kim was followed around by an affectionate turkey and fell in love with a one-horned goat, and both of us enjoyed feeding grass to all of the animals who ate it right out of our hands. Farm Sanctuary provides a place for abused farm animals to recover and either be adopted into a caring home or to stay and live out the rest of their lives peacefully at the sanctuary.
We stayed at the Farm Sanctuary in one of their spacious cabins and while there we filmed the video footage for our song “Human” which we’ll post as soon as it gets through the editing process!
